About Merle Tabor Stern

I have been making photographs for over twenty-five years. What began as a curiosity after buying a camera on an island vacation, quickly became a passion that continues today.

I've studied photography at the Corcoran School of Art, Maryland University and extensive workshops with nationally recognized photographers. I found my passion in black and white photography and began as a portrait photographer working exclusively with children. Making fine art black and white prints and photo books was part of what I offered my clients.

In the early 80's, I opened a commercial photography studio producing images for brochures, annual reports, catalogues, as well as fashion and glamour assignments.

Today, my photographs are made exclusively in the studio. I love to create portraits of "kids" and of course, "kids at heart".
